Our Pastors
Sam and Sharon Bradham grew up in Aiken, SC, where they received Jesus and the baptism in the Holy Spirit in their teen years, becoming bold witnesses for the Lord. They learned much through the books and tapes of Kenneth E Hagin, Oral Roberts, E W Kenyon, and others. Sam and Sharon met and were married at Sojourners' Lodge, an outreach ministry of North Aiken Baptist Church, where they assumed the director responsibilities for six years. Active in church most of their married lives, Sam and Sharon have worked in the ministry of helps for decades, doing whatever their hands found to do. As leadership in Faith Fellowship Church of North Augusta, SC, Sam and Sharon hosted home groups, ministering to many, including the singles of their church. They later became directors of the Missions program and led teams into Mexico traveling five times to various cities helping to build churches and houses for pastors, and sharing the love of God. They continue to have a passion for missions.
After moving to Franklin, NC in 1992, Sam and Sharon ministered as youth pastors for seven years. During that time, they founded and operated Franklin Youth Services, Inc., a non-profit outreach ministry for area teens. In 2002, they pioneered and pastored Word and Spirit Ministries, Inc. where they witnessed God do incredible miracles in people's lives: saving, delivering, and healing. In July of 2005, the Lord directed Sam and Sharon to attend Rhema Bible Training Center (RBTC) in Broken Arrow, OK. In March 2007, they traveled with a team from RBTC to Huanuco, Peru, where they ministered on the streets and in local churches, seeing many saved and healed by the power of God. Graduating RBTC in 2007, Sam is ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International and an active member.
While at RBTC, they were members of Rhema Bible Church (RBC) and served in various areas of ministry. Sam and Sharon were blessed to be given the opportunity to assist in implementing a new small group program and oversee some of those leaders. In April 2008, the Lord directed them to return to Western North Carolina, specifically to Brevard, to pioneer and pastor a work that is distinctive in its approach to people and to the Word of God. With the mandate to "teach My people faith" fresh in their hearts, they began meeting in Brevard Elementary School on September 21, 2008. On June 6, 2010, Spoken Word Church Brevard moved into a storefront facility in the center of town. In October 2011, they expanded their borders, incorporating yet another space for children's ministry. God has been faithful to bring increase!

They have a passion to help people see themselves as God sees them and become who they already are. They operate in a strong anointing for teaching and healing.
