<![CDATA[Spoken Word Church Brevard - Pastors' Blog]]>Sun, 27 May 2012 10:31:12 -0800Weebly<![CDATA[AWAKE!]]>Sat, 14 Apr 2012 07:03:13 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2012/04/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit2.htmlAre you listening?  Can you hear it?  In the deep recesses of your spirit -- deep calling unto deep.  That still small voice of the Holy Spirit -- He is saying what He hears the Father say.  He is calling to the Body of Christ -- He is calling to YOU -- AWAKE, O SLEEPER!  Arise from your sleep -- could you not tarry with Me one hour?  The end is near, it is at hand.  It is time for the Body of Christ, for YOU and for ME, to AWAKE.  It is time to RISE to the call of God on our lives.  It is time to take our position in the Body of Christ - to clothe ourselves with His righteousness, His armor, His faith and His love and to seize the Kingdom of God by force.  Jesus said we are to declare, "The Kingdom of God is at hand" -- it is HERE, it is NOW.  The Church should rise up and take it's rightful position of authority and dominion over this planet.  The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof.  When Jesus died and rose from the grave, He restored to mankind all the Father had originally given unto Adam - dominion, authority and rulership.   It is time we stop letting the devil steal, kill and destroy the people God so loves.  Every day people are going to Hell, every day people are dying from the onslaught of sickness and disease the devil has plagued the world with ever since Adam sinned and that sin introduced the curse into the Earth.  We are called to be Jesus in this world -- He came to seek and to save the lost; He came to destroy the works of the devil; He came to manifest the Father's love to a cursed society.   Will you heed the call?  Will you turn a deaf ear to distractions, to desires of the flesh, to voices of another calling, "come over here" -- will you lay down your life so others might live?  We must pursue God through His Word, receiving it as Truth, believing it because it is impossible for God to lie, and speaking it to our mountains until they be moved and cast into the sea.  We must teach the Word to others so, they too, can be FREE from the deception of the enemy and live victoriously.  Jesus rose from the grave with the keys to death and Hell in His hands -- He said "ALL AUTHORITY IN HEAVEN AND IN EARTH HAS BEEN GIVEN UNTO ME -- now YOU GO. . ."  He gave His authority to us -- we have it in the NAME OF JESUS, and if we will consecrate our lives to Him, declare  boldly what He said, we will see the Body of Christ rise to the call -- united, with every person in their place, and the world will see JESUS.  He said "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me." For the most part, the world has seen a Church that looks so much like the world, they can hardly tell the difference between a Christian and an unbeliever.  Both can be poor, weak, afraid, sick, bound by addictions, living after the flesh.  Will we AWAKE, RISE UP, and show the world who CHRIST REALLY IS?  Are they worth it to you?  They are to the Father.  He gave His best, He gave His all, so they would know Him and enjoy all the benefits He has provided for them.   Will YOU get in YOUR PLACE? ]]><![CDATA[Winter Bible Seminar 2012 -- W O W!]]>Sun, 26 Feb 2012 19:16:44 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2012/02/winter-bible-seminar-2012-w-o-w.htmlWe were so blessed to be able to attend WBS at Rhema Bible Church this week.  What an awesome time in the Lord!  Every session we attended encouraged and strengthened us.  We are empowered with a greater anointing through the laying on of hands as Pastor and Mrs. Hagin ordained Sam.  The magnitude of the vision of Rhema is just being realized some thirty years later.  That first school graduated 58 students.  Today more than 26,000 Rhema graduates are at work around the world promoting the Kingdom of God.  We are so blessed to be a part of the Rhema family.  A family with a common goal, working together in unity to see the lost won, and people living in victory by walking in faith.  God never changes, His Word never changes and the vision never changes.  We are in awe of the people we have met and know who die daily that Christ may live.  What a great love we have been loved with!  We love HIM because He FIRST loved us.  No greater love has a man than this, to lay down his life for his friends.  We are forever grateful to the Hagin family for all they have sacrificed that we might KNOW Him. 
]]><![CDATA[Healing School - The First of Many]]>Sat, 14 Jan 2012 19:15:43 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2012/01/post-title-click-and-type-to-edit1.htmlWhat a tremendous weekend we have enjoyed in the presence of the Lord at our January Healing School last night and today!  You know, Jesus ALWAYS shows up when you start bragging on Him!  As we shared the Word of God concerning healing, the LIGHT of God's Word dispelled all the darkness!  Every tree that God did not plant He rooted up! And in its place, a tree of LIFE.  People received the truth of God's Word and were empowered by that Word to extend the hand of faith and TAKE THEIR HEALING!  And they DID!  Cancer was healed, spines straightened, pain was eradicated -- two children were healed of asthma -- on and on the list could go.  TO GOD BE THE GLORY!  Great things He has done!  God is STILL HEALING PEOPLE TODAY!  He never changes.  It IS His will for you to be well, and He has provided that healing in Jesus Christ!  If you were not able to attend, CD's are available -- get them, and get healed!  "He sent His Word and healed them"!  With God ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE!]]><![CDATA[Are You Ready for Healing School? GOD IS!]]>Sun, 08 Jan 2012 14:14:41 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2012/01/are-you-ready-for-healing-school-god-is.htmlHealing School starts this Friday night, but it began in our hearts more than ten years ago.  As we have pursued God and His Word, we have become increasingly aware of how many believers are not enjoying the full benefits of being a child of God.  Our hearts are filled with compassion as we see people hurting, sick, and dying with all kinds of diseases.  Why?  God said, "MY PEOPLE are destroyed for a lack of knowledge" (Hosea 4:6).  What knowledge do people lack?  The knowledge that God is merciful, full of compassion and loving kindnesses.  And in His mercy, He has provided not only salvation for the spirit, but peace for the mind and healing for the body through the Redemptive Plan of Christ.  And He is merciful to ALL!   Jesus NEVER FAILED to heal ANYONE who came to Him, and the Bible records MULTITUDES came to Him, and He healed them ALL.   NO ONE was too evil, too good, too mean, too kind, too poor, too rich, too fat, too skinny--HE HEALED THEM ALL.  God is in the healing business.  Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever more.  Will you come to Him for healing?  He is waiting for you.  Come and hear the truth of God's Word--don't be ignorant, lacking knowledge, any longer.  Don't suffer in pain and sickness when God has made a way of escape!  We have seen God heal many people with many ailments.  "ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD to Him who believes" -- if you have trouble believing, it is only because you haven't heard.  Once you hear the Word of God, faith comes and with it, comes the healing you so desire.  God wants you well more than you do!  ]]><![CDATA[Jesus is the Gift -- YOU are the Reason for the Season!]]>Sat, 26 Nov 2011 18:09:21 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/11/jesus-is-the-gift-you-are-the-reason-for-the-season.htmlIt is Christmas time again -- one of my favorite holidays!  We went to a local tree farm yesterday to get the annual tree.  The weather couldn't have been better -- warm, about 65 degrees and sunny.  The sky was so blue.  The farm was filled with people:  families with children, young and old alike, many with the family dog, tromping through the fields of perfect Frazier firs, looking for THE perfect tree.  Our daughter and her husband went with us, with their dog, Luci.  It didn't take long to find two beautiful, fragrant trees and head home to decorate.  Christmas is the time for family and friends to gather, for exchanging gifts, for eating turkey, and riding through neighborhoods to look at dazzling Christmas lights.  It is a wonderful time of year.  But as we embrace the coming season, let's always remember why we celebrate Christmas.  "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever should believe on Him would not perish, but have everlasting life."  Jesus is the Gift the Father gave to ransom mankind back to Himself.  The value of anything is the price paid for it.  He paid for you with His life.  What great value you have to the Father!    ]]><![CDATA[What Do YOU Have to be Thankful For?]]>Sun, 20 Nov 2011 15:17:47 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/11/what-do-you-have-to-be-thankful-for.htmlHow BIG is your God?  Our God is G R E A T!  It is so exciting to hear the testimonies from those in our fellowship who are being JESUS in this world!  People are testifying every week of laying hands on the sick and seeing them healed! They are sharing the goodness of God with friends and family and those in the marketplace.   We are seeing people healed each week in our services and they are testifying how great it is to be pain free - GLORY TO GOD!  We've heard testimonies from our people who have asked God for jobs and are receiving them.  Several have new jobs and one lady received notice she didn't get the job she applied for, but the company is CREATING a job JUST FOR HER!  It is SO WONDERFUL to serve the living God.  Truly our God is an AWESOME God!   We have SO MUCH to be thankful for!  Bless the Lord O my soul, and all that is within me, bless His holy Name!  For He is great and greatly to be praised!  Happy Thanksgiving!    ]]><![CDATA[Today's Children - Today's Power Kidz!]]>Sun, 06 Nov 2011 19:13:35 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/11/todays-children-todays-power-kidz.html

]]><![CDATA[How Great is our God!]]>Wed, 02 Nov 2011 16:44:41 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/11/how-great-is-our-god.htmlWe serve a mighty, powerful, awesome God!  Every week we are getting reports of the wonderful works of our wonderful Father.  Houses sold, employment opportunities, bodies once wracked with pain, now pain free, lost pets returned -- there is no END to HOW GOOD OUR GOD IS!  As we embrace His Word as Truth and put that Word in our mouths, causing us to come into agreement with Him, there is NO SITUATION, NO CIRCUMSTANCE, NO POWER IN HEAVEN OR EARTH that can stand against us.  "IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US? -- He who spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him freely give us ALL THINGS?" (Romans 8:38)  God's hands are open to you -- He is not withholding ANY GOOD THING!  It is His good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.  Truly, WITH GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.  Are all things possible to everyone?  No.  They are only possible to "him who believes".  So we have a choice to make -- are we going to live in doubt and unbelief?  Or are we going to make a quality decision to believe that whatever God said in the Bible is the truth?  "For we walk by FAITH and not by SIGHT" -- when we walk by sight, judging our situation based on what we feel or see, we are not walking by faith.  And "without faith, it is impossible to please God -- for those who come to Him must BELIEVE that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who seek Him" (Heb 11:6).  I'm a believer, how about you? ]]><![CDATA[Children's Church a GREAT Success!]]>Sun, 09 Oct 2011 18:34:53 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/10/childrens-church-a-great-success.htmlThe new Children's Church building is almost complete -- and the new program kicked off today with a great start!  "Faith Friends" (3-5 year olds) and "Power Kidz" (6-12 year olds) met together for a children's version of praise and worship, followed by an awesome puppet skit, and a visit from Rovercover the Faith Dog!  As the classes separated for their individual times together, the kids were full of excitement, as were the teachers.  I think EVERYONE had a wonderful time.  We are so blessed to have people in our fellowship who LOVE children.  Over the past two weeks, people have sacrificed many hours, and LOTS of hard labor to see the building transformed!  It reminds me of the transformation God does in each of our lives.  As we give our hearts to Jesus and He recreates our spirits, as we surrender to His will, as He draws us from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of His dear Son, all those ugly, stinky, dirty and broken things in our lives are transformed, day by day into something beautiful!  He is SOOOOO good!   And it keeps getting better and better!    ]]><![CDATA[Children's Ministry - Grand Opening Sunday, October 9 10:30am]]>Sun, 25 Sep 2011 19:10:18 -0800http://www.spokenwordchurch.org/1/post/2011/09/childrens-ministry-grand-opening-sunday-october-9-1030am.htmlThis week work begins on our new Children's facility.  We have been buying curriculum, puppets, a flat screen TV, prizes and more -- all the things that will aid us as we teach the Word of God to children ages 3-12.  We want children to know about their Heavenly Father and His great love for them.  We want them to receive the Lord Jesus and be born again, becoming children of the household of God.  Our goal is to teach children to live their lives according to His Word and His Spirit.  What Bible truths will children learn at Spoken Word Church?  They will learn to love God and love their neighbors; to trust God in everything - to depend on Him totally.  They will learn how to live free from fear, free sickness and disease, free from poverty and lack.  They will learn how to be sensitive to the Holy Spirit, to call on Him when they need wisdom, help, strength.  They will learn to KNOW God and to obey Him.  They will learn to be BELIEVERS in the Word of God.  They will learn they can do the works that Jesus did, and greater, because He went to the Father.   Actually, they will learn exactly what the adults are learning in classes and services every week.  How to live the abundant life Jesus came for us to enjoy!   If you have children and would like them to grow up spiritually as well as physically, we invite you to join us each week.  Your children will be glad ]]>
